Located in an area of Special Scientific Interest, this farm-workers' cottage is undergoing modernisation and significant extension in preparation for assisted living.
The scheme design concept is to echo the proportions and arrangements of typical farm-worker cottages and out-buildings in the area, whilst providing a contemporary and flexible living space for the assisted living requirements of the client.
An interesting combination of natural materials are used for the extended portions in order to provide a sympathetic aesthetic and excellent thermal performance.
